Date#7: Dinner for psychopath please!
The Unfortunate 911 Call
Last disaster date was in May 2010. This one was the most disastrous because (again online dating) it wasn’t what I expected; the online profile and the pictures online showed something completely different. For the first date the guy makes dinner and invites me to his place. I had no problem so I bought a bottle of wine and went over. Thank God, this time it wasn’t a restaurant and I knew where the place was cause it’s next to one of my friends houses. Anyways, I get to the door, and I see a different guy in front of me. When I walked into house, he locked the door, not closed it, but locked it with keys!! I tell the guy you look different than the pictures, and he only smiles. Anyways we sat for dinner, and then he went to bring something from inside. Suddenly the light go out, he comes back saying: “I must have turned it off by mistake. Let me make it a little bit romantic and turn on the candle”. I realized that he’s changed into a bathrobe, and at that moment my heart started beating fast and all I could think of is that he locked the door. I told him that something came up and I might have to leave soon. He said that I must wait for the surprise; he took off his robe and was naked in seconds (sexy? More of a freak). He started calling me with his ex’s name (he mentioned his ex’s name while having dinner) and yelling at me saying things like: “You left me for an as*hole, what don’t you like my belly?? Or my kisses?? What does he have that I don’t.” At that moment, I was like “you know what, I have to leave.” I stand up to walk away. He quickly grabbed my wrist pulled me towards him and then he pushed me against the wall. At that instance, it looked like a rape scene. I tried pushing him away. He was still calling me with his ex’s name and trying to take off my pants. I managed to get him off of me and ran to the door.
I threatened him by saying that I will dial 911 if he gets any closer. He got on the floor and started begging me not to leave. However, the only thing I wanted at the moment was to leave. All the crazy thoughts came to me at that certain moment, like what if he put something in the food or the drink, what if he tried to do something and killed me. Luckily enough, the keys were still in the door. I unlocked and opened the door and ran away. That night I appreciated my life and me being single more than ever!
As much as the stories were funny (they were, weren’t they?) I hope that you and no one else would have such bad luck as I did. Hoping by sharing my stories you could gather few wiser tips for you next first date, be safer for you next steps and knowing exactly what you’re going for. We encourage you to be a smart dater! But there will always be those that you share with your friends at gay-hour!
