On his fascination with comics,
Well I love anything surreal, anything larger than life and comic book heroes are exactly that. I love strong women, and I love to design for strong women, and sometimes men. I try making them attractive to both sexes and to make them something enviable to all genders.

On Make-up for men,
Keep it simple, instead of trying to hide flaws get your skin in optimum order then you won’t have to use a lot. Mineral make-up is the best, it is subtle, suitable for all skin types and it has in-built SPF, what more could one ask for! Here’s a bit of advice for guys with dark circles under their eyes, get a concealer with SPF in it, and choose the shade that matches your skin tone exactly (the way you figure it out is, by choosing 3 shades closest to your skin tone and apply them to the side of your hand, which is the closest to your face skin tone. The one that fades into your skin is the one you want. Anything lighter will look trashy and fake. Also choose a maximum cover one, and use it sparingly). Of course lip balm is a must, also with SPF.
On school days,
For some it was “seen” as a sign of rebelliousness, but for me it was just another form of self-expression. My body and my face were just the canvas by which I sent out messages and signals to the world surrounding me.

On 80’s-Jordan and his remarkable past,
Well when I was younger I started to wear make-up to hide my skin which had been ruined by a dermatologist, and it progressed from there to the more theatrical and dramatic, since there was no else like me in town, it was amusing to see how people reacted (imagine aliens landing in Amman and you get the idea). I was not trying to be a woman, I was expressing a certain attitude, which is: You cannot expect of an artist to live by the norms and morals of the “Petty Bourgeoisie”, I was a "New Romantic", & a “Goth”, I loved all things gloomy and macabre. My interests included anthropology, archaeology, religions, mind power and mind over matter wins every time. I saw myself as my own masterpiece, a fabulous monster created as a backlash to the artifice of Ammani society. Whatever they called me they couldn’t call me a liar, which is something I still refuse to do, although, I can do it with the best of them; I am “Ammani” after all!
(Pic up, right; "Head-shot taken in the Hippodrome in 1984, it was the most happening nightclub at the time, Dead or Alive hit the big time with ‘you spin me round’ on that night.")
The school I graduated from changed the rulebook after I graduated. It started out with them saying I couldn’t wear make-up to school, and I replied where does it say that? They said the rulebook, to which I replied no it didn’t! The rulebook stated that “Girls aren’t allowed to wear make-up to school!” and I added I’m not a girl and I am not trying to be one! Also in the ages gone by women weren’t allowed to wear make-up but men did! I was made a prefect in a vain attempt to control me, which failed miserably!
