That case was relatively safe because there are no restrictions for males when it comes to the idealistic thought of virginity or premarital sex like it was (is) for females, and it was easier and practically arouses no questions to go inside an empty house with a guy rather than a girl, but those guys who have had sex just for the sake of sex itself, do not label themselves as 'homosexual' or even 'bisexual', in fact, a recent poll in Jordan showed that up to 73% of straight guys in Jordan had premarital sex with another so called straight guy, and it sometimes included penetration, but they don't label themselves as gay. > (Check the bottom of the page for a related article [1])
Other religions have different views about the subject, for example Zoroastrainism described homosexuals as demonic creatures that have committed a punishable act, and it must be 'cleansed' through death, as mentioned in the Holy Vendidad 'The man that lies with another mankind as man lies with womankind, or as womankind lie with mankind is a Deava; demon'. In Hinduism, the main principle is called Vikruti Evam Parkriti, or diversity is the origin of everything, and it had a heavenly creature named Androgynous, which was intersex or referred to as 'Third sex' which shows general acceptance of the idea, yet the society relied on traditions and acquired habits from other neighboring religions to reject it. While Buddhism rejected it on the bases that impurity comes through lust, therefore any kind of sex impurifies the body and the soul. Sikhism has no clear status on the subject, but referred to traditional laws to reject it also, and to some extent copied Abrahamic religions because of its interaction with them.

In China, there’s two main philosophical systems Confucianism and Taoism and could be considered religions. Both systems have no official statement about homosexuality, but stresses on the relationship between Yin and Yang, and modern religious leaders thought of homosexuality as a union of either Yin and Yin, or Yang and Yang, therefore, again, disrupts the harmony and peace of the universe.
'The real conflict isn't between secular
and religious movements, the real
struggle is the one generated within...'
The real conflict isn't there, or even between secular and religious movements, the real struggle is the one generated within caused by constant propaganda from those two conflicting movements, each having it's own alibi and arguing fiercely and enthusiastically about it, driving one to the brick of insanity of constant pulling forth and backwards, on and off. This conflict is simply summarized in one question: is homosexuality a sin? Religious movements all over the world are pressing in the direction of making homosexuality illegal in merely every country, from public beheading in Saudi, to public hanging in Iran and the Jailing sentences in Syria, India (regarding the recent news on the two Indian 18 year old males who got married on the 9th of July 09) and even the US state of Michigan, or fines imposed in Algeria, Belarus and China, and the publicity done by mostly Evangelical and/or Protestant churches throughout Europe and the US, putting up ads such as 'I kissed a girl and I liked it, and I went straight to hell' as a parody of Katy Perry's song, and the campaign lead by The American Family Association to boycott LGBT rights supporting corporations, to the constant threats from rabbis to carry out suicide bombings against the gay parade that successfully took place in Jerusalem are just a few bunch of fine examples of this propaganda that is tearing up the minds and hearts of confused youth about their sexuality and their choice of life.
So, what can you do if you were in that situation? Some might say 'religion and homosexuality can't fit in the same box together, it's either this or that.' well, as nice as that sounds, it doesn't have to be completely true. It's all in the simple answer of personal interpretation! Major religious leaders might not like this idea that much because it somehow undermines their 'authority', but it does bring inner peace. Many churches and synagogues around the world are becoming more and more understanding of the fact that homosexuality is not an acquired habit, but it's an unchangeable nature, and the movement of gay Muslims throughout > (Check the bottom of the page for a related article [2])) the Western Nations - and to a lesser extent, the Middle East, ironic, huh? is raging with demands of more loose interpretation of the Q'uran and the Hadith and do more search. As for me, I just have one thing to ask for from ‘religious people’, why keep on repeating 'Sodom and Gomorrah' all the time as if it's a broken record stuck in a phonograph from the ancient biblical times?
