Regina Mamou ruled
by her talent!
Regina Mamou received her BFA in Photography from Rhode Island School of Design in 2005 and her MFA in Photography from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2007. Upon graduating, Regina taught photography in Chicago and worked as an adjunct museum educator at the Art Institute of Chicago.
Selected exhibitions include “Involving Violence” at Lasso Gallery in Chicago and School 33 in Baltimore, “I Try to Erase You but You’re Still Here” at Spoke Gallery in Chicago, A.I.R. and Soho20 Gallery in New York City, the Kinsey Institute at Indiana University, and the 2007 National Women's Studies Association Conference in Illinois.
In 2009 Regina curated the exhibition “Faking It?” at the Highland Park Art Center in Illinois, which included notable artists and an editorial in “Newcity.”
She is a published artist and her work has been featured in “Descry Magazine,” “I’m A Heat Seeker,” and “Hayden’s Ferry Review.”
Regina is the recipient of a 2009-2010 J. William Foreign Fulbright Scholarship Award to Jordan with a Critical Language Enhancement Award in Arabic and currently resides in Amman.
