A Demand on A Gay Org in
Jordan
Not only an article had stroke the latest homosexual local news, but also a discussion that came up on the show on (Down Town Radio), that waved the hint of a demand of having a gay rights organization that protects the local gays’ rights. Is that true? It is actually, the radio had a caller who discussed how this organization should fixates on the idea of protecting and health-guiding those who’re gay and short on it.
The story was brought up when few guys in their early 20’s came up to the city hall in Jabal Al Husain in Amman and demanded for an organization to protect their rights and fight all kinds of discrimination.
So hear what “Adam” said; (the guy who talked on air about a gay organization in Jo) and the opposite side of the story. Listen to the re-run; (press the speaker sign on the left of the page) and read the article as well (here) >>>
Local News:
Students and Professors
demanded to pull out posters
related to AIDS and HIV!
In Al Ghad news paper, an article had been posted upon a controversial situation that forced The Ministry of Health to pull back posters and education forms on HIV and AIDS that had been passed on to University students. The issue rose on the thought of how those posters and forms raised a brow on an issue of having sex in a conservative community. They pointed on how such posters indicate the idea of having sex. One of the posters that carries the a caution “AIDS is a very big dangerous world”, had caused a clash in points between professors in universities to discuss whether those posters raise awareness, or raise sexual behavior!
The article had also pointed into how the posters and forms had raised self-questions not only on straight-related pre-marriage sex, but also admitting on homosexual sex in a conservative country as well. Such questions (included in the forms and posters), indicates the idea not only that sex is practiced in a conservative country, but to also admitting of the homosexual act and sexual behavior as well…

A homo related report on
straight men going...homo!
A local magazine in Jordan “Nas wnas” had published a duet article in their February and March 09 Issues, about homosexuality. The first article in the Feb issue, gave an informative talk toward what’s homosexuality and bisexuality, but used irritative tittles like “do they deserve to be talked about”, and “the first and most important factor for AIDS”, which sounded very homophobic which didn’t reflect the informative, yet not so friendly article of theirs.
In the March issue, they discussed different views of homosexuality when it came religious views and points.

Art work to dis-gay!
Something that caught our eye in a late issue of Layaina magazine (February 09), a photo gallery for Artist Ra’ad Ibrahim, who had his art gallery for his installation art in the house of art in weibdeh, under the title (for every disease there’s a cure). You can notice one of his art works includes a rainbow poster that says “GAYOM” under it a sentence that says “be normal” which we’re not sure of it’s meaning, but it certainly indicated not homophobia but a change in the sexual orientation for homosexuality. What adds to our point also the logo under the sentence where you can see a male sign with an arrow striking right through it. Art? Cool? Supportive? Not really!

Again to repeat... the series of
the Viva!
Again to publish, dare to tell, a copy cover of UK edition of Elle Magazine August 08 issue, with Charlize Theron on the cover got pasted on Viva’s March 09, and again this almost reached the 4th time, they’re about to break the record for being a cover-copier most successful magazine! Viva magazine is a very highly glossed magazine that informs the local public of what’s best, interesting and approachable, but the magazine is starting to pull off with such stunts, and if they don’t stop, the magazine may lose it’s highly name of dots and bold fonts…
