...A Shortcut to
Hansesness
T is for Taste and H is for Hans
To say or not to say, Hans, got what it takes to be the party guy you’d want to know, he hosts house parties that gets closed by the police (as in loud, not as in scandalous as the ones we read about in the papers), and he knows how to get the groove on when his feet lose its control when songs for David Bowie or Mick Jagger hits the speakers (we sneaked into his I-pod songs collection, hoping to find something else!), “In parties, I’m the one who’s seen trying to take control of the music, but end up listening to what others want… I can’t hold still, I circle around.” He says.
On sexuality rumors and his fashion sense
But what’s most important, he’s the metro guy you’d always question but disappoints you regarding your plus forward moves! But is he fed up by the rumors? Well, what can you say about a guy who brfriends the gays for the up beat spirit they impose? We love them that's what we think... we need more of these, the ungay guys who parties with the gays “People in Jordan think I’m gay, just because I dress fashionably and wear a scarf, that’s silly, that makes all guys in Denmark gay then. But I have to say, to be considered fashionable here you have to be either gay or a designer,” he says “but when it comes to Amman, I think it’s quite limited when it comes to fashion. You can witness good fashion sense in gatherings, parties and house get-to gethers, but when it comes to the common guy in the street, there’s nothing there.” And speaking of fashion, Hans’s fashion wear are always a party-steal, he mixes whatever, and goes to wherever and looks just like the party-loving dude he is! A dark blazer with a skinny tie and basic jeans is just one of his traditional fashion check-ups “I like to wear hats, if I couldn’t I would replace it by wearing a tie or a scarf.” He says, and that’s the thing about Hans, he can go from simply-urban to what’s classically fashionable, mixing formal with casual is his thing. “I like the British look, uncompleting it with a French touch and a bit of Danish causality. The Brit-look is more elegant, a trench coat and off you go, and here I’m talking about something I really like. The French is more about open shirts, hats, and scarves, while the Danish is more casual just a T and jeans.” Says Hans, scaling what's fashionanble to him.

On women and being a mix-raced guy
Hans is just the regular guy, going to pubs, watching football matches, holds simplicity in his heart and a good greeting in his hands, but when it comes to girls, he’s the romantica type, he dates the stylized girls ever, and he knows exactly what girls like “I like older women, I like how they think, and I like everything about them” he shares.
So what is Hans? where does he fit in this world?
Q for the road, have you ever felt like an outsider? "In Denmark people ask me if I’m Danish all the time, cause I simply don’t look like a typical Dane, I never experienced racism, but sometimes I see that happening, I can feel people look at me strangely. But also here in Jo I feel like a foreigner…,” he says “I’m half Palestinian, quarter Russian and quarter Danish, I was born and raised in Denmark, I can’t define myself being one of the other, I’m a mixture. I don’t act like a Palestinian cause I was raised in Denmark which is a completely different culture.” He explains. So there you go, he’s the guy that brings two cultures in one heart atmost, Hans’s heart.
‘People here think I’m gay just because I dress fashionably… But also to be considered fashionable here you have to be either gay or a designer, that’s just silly!’
On lifestyle differences
Living different lifestyles, experiencing the taste of the orient. Hans shares his basket of what he gathered “I found Jordan to be a very open minded country. I didn’t know what to expect when coming here, you think you come to the Middle East, you can’t go out for fun, no parties, dancing, city lifestyle or what so ever, but it turned out to be exactly the opposite. After you stay here for a while, you notice how people are welcoming and it’s not hard making friends, and people just love the idea of celebration here. In Denmark, a lot of the Danes think they have to drink to open up and meet new people. The thing I noticed about being in both countries, in Jo and Denmark is, that, if you talked to people you’re not friends with in Denmark, they’d think you’re crazy, but in Jo it’s less complicated than that, that stroked me the most.”
“But the thing you’ll notice about Danish people is that they’re happy. It is true what you hear, Denmark is considered a happy place, and people are practical and life-loving. People are simply happy” He says.
But hold on, fashion and parties isn’t what this 21-year old race-mixed guy fires about, his high sense toward things makes him the straight guy you see in pictures holding a bouquet of white flowers (check up, left) giving the sweet eyed-boy look a shot, yet looking like he's about to say "I do". Hans knows when you’re mad and gives his best to shy-out a smile on your face, he makes you a star on a table full of friends, and he knows when to poor water in your glass when your lips are just dry, so what is it about him, what is it about Hans that makes everyone crushes over him? Is it his witty attitude, his nice sense of style, his welcoming hands, or his warm heart? Or maybe that’s just the happy meal he comes in! That’s the whole “Hans package” that you want a piece of on your door step dropped and unannounced!
